The Steering Committee will evaluate progress made in the implementation of the Global Partnership Principles, build on previous committee meetings held this year in Indonesia and develop a vision and agenda for the first Global Partnership Ministerial-level meeting and a political vision for the Global Partnership within the broader context of the post-2015 development agenda.
A High Level Africa Event will be held on the sidelines of the Committee meeting to look at Aid as Catalyst for Domestic Resource Mobilisation in Africa. Panalists will include DAG Co-Chair, Lamin G. Barrow representing the African Development Bank Who will be joined by Mr. Romuald Pial Mezala(Regional Director Institute Pan Africain pour le Developpement,) Ms Sigrid Kaag (Assistant Secretary-General, Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy, UNDP) and Mr. Fred Twesiime (Senior Economist, Aid Liaison Department, Ministry of Finance, Uganda). The closing session will be addressed by DAG Executive Committee member Mr. Eugene Owusu (UN Resident Coordinator, Ethiopia) Honourable Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Finance Minister, Nigeria and H.E Dr. Anthony. M. Maruping, Commissioner for Economic Affairs, AUC.
